Who Benefits?

The Cascade Relays Foundation supports local non-profits, school groups, and community organizations in the communities our events travel through.  Cascade Relays has directly donated a total of $235,000 to local nonprofits and community groups since its founding in 2008.

Our single biggest charity program is our Hire A Volunteer program, which allows teams to hire volunteers from local charities to fulfill their volunteer requirements. 100% of this program goes directly to the charities who provide volunteers. Over the past three years, we have donated over $50,000 to local groups on the Spokane to Sandpoint course.

In 2016, the “Hire a Volunteer Program” and other fundraising opportunities supported these non-profits and community groups:

Angels over Sandpoint
Hoodoo Hustlers 4-H Club
Priest River High School Cross Country
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
Spokane Valley Young Life
Timberlake High School Athletics
Beaver Creek Kritters 4-H Club
Play for Gracie Foundation

We are always on the lookout for additional opportunities to serve local charities. If you have a proposal for a fundraising opportunity for your group, or if you would like to participate in the 2017 Spokane to Sandpoint Relay as a Hire-A-Volunteer group, please complete the Official 2017 Charity Application.
