LEG NOTES:

Restroom facilities and public parking available.  Note, this is also Exchange 20.  Don’t get confused if you see runners heading the opposite direction.  They’re in front of your team!  Time to make up ground!  Teams please be advised that when arriving at CDA City Beach Park noise after 10:00 PM must be quieted as per CDA’s noise ordinance.  Also, the Exchange zone will be 120 yards to the east (down the beachfront) away from housing so we don’t disturb the residents as much.  Thanks for your cooperation.

LEG DESCRIPTION:

Be advised, road construction awaits you at the end of the Centennial Trail.  Carefully follow race signs to detour road closureFast, easy leg with beautiful finish at City Beach Park in downtown Coeur d’ Alene!   Beach access, Race Services, and Van 2 await you at the end of this leg.

LEG LEGEND:

0.0  Continue on Cent. Trail.  Follow Race Signs as trail has several turns.

1.3  Cross River Ave. and head straight on Military St.

1.4  Right on Garden Ave.

1.7  Right on College Dr.

1.8  Left on River Ave. which immediately turns into Rosenberry Dr.

2.7  Arrive at Major Exchange 18 at east end (far end) of CDA City Beach Park.  Race Services await!

DRIVER DIRECTIONS:

Travel back out of the Riverstone development and take a Right on Northwest Blvd (1.4 miles).  Take a RIGHT on Mullan (0.1 miles).  The Coeur d’ Alene City Beach Park is off to your left.  Parking is off to your right.  If parking lot is full you may have to seek out parking in the local community area.  Major Exchange 18 is toward the waterfront.  Take a swim if you choose!  We purposely designed the Relay so both vans could spend some time together at the midpoint of the Race while runner # 7 completes the out and back leg.  Enjoy one another’s company and share some of the race highlights thus far with each other in beautiful CDA!
